Max Batchelor, 17 from Mackenzie, Tenn., R. B. and Sandy Tolar from Union City, Tenn., Ezra Nance a senior at Westview, and Max Laporte a junior English major were the performers featured at this "jam session".
The Acoustic Music Event was a night where you could just relax on the lawn and listen to the soothing music that filled the air. Overall there were five performers, but no set was even close to the same. In fact, most of the sets covered a wide range of genres and music from different decades. The song selection ranged from Metallica to Coldplay and John Mayer to Seether. There was something for everyone, which is important in an audience that was also diverse. Chelsey Brunner, an attendee of the event stated, "It's great that they incorporated different styles and music from different decades. It provided entertainment for everyone there."
While at first it seemed like it was going to be a small crowd (approximately twenty five people were there at the beginning) more people began making their way towards the excitement that was the Acoustic Music Event. Everyone from college students to faculty members were there.
"If you weren't a member of the audience, you just can't imagine how amazing it really was," said Brunner.
